Salads are one of the healthiest foods for dieters and weight watchers but eating salad can get pretty mundane, especially if you eat it daily. Here are 5 tips that can help make your salad interesting.

Add fruits
Who said salad was all about greens and vegetables. Adding a handful of fruits will it more healthy and tasty. Fruits will not only increase the antioxidant levels of your meal but will also offer to it a sweet tinge to balance out the flavour. Fruits like apples, grapes, pineapples, berries and mangoes make an excellent counterpart to any salad.

Add some crunch
Bored of chewing on tomatoes, carrots and lettuce? Then try adding some crunch to it to make it more interesting. You can add any kind of nuts or seeds like pecan, walnuts, chia or even pumpkin seeds to your salad.

Make your own dressing
You may have opted for a flavoursome dressing but after eating the same dressing for days, it can get boring. Try your own dressing made freshly out of simple ingredients like lemon juice, vinegar, mustard, etc.

Add proteins

Your diet won’t suffer if you add a small portion of protein to it but it will surely get a lot more interesting. Grilled chicken, baked tofu or braised beef will add a distinct flavour to your salad and will also help keep you satiated for a longer time.

Add grains

Salad are not all about vegetables and fruits either. You can add a handful of healthy grains like, brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa or even couscous to the salad to make it more interesting and varied.
