Foods that Fight Cellulite
Cellulite is a condition which generally affects women, wherein fat deposits become visible under the skin, giving it a dimpled effect. This condition generally occurs on the thighs and bottom. There are a number of factors, which can cause cellulite. Excess estrogen, caused by hormonal imbalances or excess weight, can lead to cellulite. Imbalanced blood glucose levels can also cause cellulite. But,by adding the right foods to your diet, one can reduce cellulite.
Omega-3: Foods high in omega-3 and 6 can reduce the appearance of cellulite. Good sources of omega-3 include flaxseeds, salmon, olive oil and walnuts. Omega-6 fatty acids are found in sunflower seeds and soyabeans.
Whole grains: Contain vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre, which are ideal for fighting cellulite. So include foods like brown rice, millet, amaranth and quinoa in your diet, for smooth, cellulite free skin.
Fruit: Are essential for fighting cellulite as they provide a range of vitamins and fibre. Most fruits are also high in water making them ideal for weight loss and cellulite. So make sure you include plenty of fresh fruits in your diet.
Vegetables: Are high in fluids, nutrients, fibre and are ideal for fighting cellulite. This is because they contain folic acid content, which can fight fat storage in the body.
Green leafy vegetables: Spinach and other leafy greens contain lutein, which can fight cellulite and prevent fat from accumulating. They also help to increase skin hydration and elasticity, so make sure to include several helpings of green leafy vegetables in your diet, to fight the appearance of cellulite.
