Workout Video on Spiderman Push-up
The spiderman push-up is a variation of the regular push-up. It is excellent for a full body workout as it uses body weight to strengthen multiple muscle groups. Our Fitness Instructor from Navi Mumbai, Rajesh Sharma’s video demonstrates the proper way of doing spiderman push-ups.
This exercise works great to build chest, legs and arm muscles. Rajesh Sharma suggests that it can be a warm-up exercise before lifting weights, “It can be used as warm up exercise for legs, arms and chest before starting weight training.”
Since it is a push-up it, “strengthens chest, shoulder, triceps and also mobilises hip adductors, hamstrings, thoracic spine, glutes, shoulders and hip flexors.”
Benefits of spiderman push-ups:
According to Rajesh Sharma the spiderman push-up is a “progress from knee push-ups”. He further explains, “This variation of push-ups has an added advantage of engaging your legs and hip muscles as well as leg joints as it involves all major joints and muscles of our body.”
Our Fitness Instructor, Rajesh Sharma says, “It mobilises your wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees, ankle and toe joints. Spiderman also stretches your glutes and hamstrings.” So, the spiderman push-up is an excellent way to stay fit and tighten your muscles.
