Defined as the thinning of bone tissue and loss of bone density over time, Osteoporosis usually occurs in old age but it can also occur in any age group. It can occur due to lack of physical activity, hormonal changes, metabolic bone diseases such as Hypothyroidism, and Hyperparathyroidism, and lack of vitamin D and calcium in your body.
