What Is Throat Cancer?


Men over 50 years of age are highly susceptible to throat cancers, according to studies men are 15 times more likely than women to develop throat cancers.

Throat cancer has different names, depending on what part of the throat is affected. The different parts of the throat are



  • Nasopharyngeal cancer (The Part Of throat behind the nose)

  • Oropharyngeal Cancer (The Part Of throat behind the tongue)

  • Hypopharyngeal Cancer (The Part Of throat above the food pipe)


Sometimes the larynx, or voice box, is also included.
