The festive season peaks in the winter, which is harsh on the skin and can leave even normal skin dry and flaky. Extra care and attention is needed because during the cold months, the oil glands situated just below the surface of the skin tend to become relatively inactive and produce less moisture than usual. “With the onset of winters, your skincare and makeup products also need to change to more moisturising, creamy options”, says Bollywood makeup asrtist Vidya Tikari.
