But remember that although it brings relief from the heat, the Indian monsoon brings with it a host of ailments and diseases, some of which may even be life-threatening. Rain water accumulated in stagnant pools along with the dampness and dirt serves as the ideal breeding ground for a variety of disease-causing microbes.
