New way to treat diabetes: Scientists had earlier suspected that diabetes and obesity was linked to the human biological clock. In the latest research, it is revealed that a protein called cryptochrome regulates the biological clock and also the glucose production in the liver. Now biologists at the University of California in San Diego have developed a new drug that controls cryptochrome and represses the production of glucose. Could this be the solution for diabetics?
