Fitness Recap 2011: What We Learnt About Nutrition in 2011

If 2011’s plethora of nutrition news taught us anything, it is this: No diet is complete without an adequate balance of the three macronutrients – protein, fat and carbohydrates. 2011 also brought to our notice, more succinctly than earlier years, that correct nutrition is the cornerstone of disease prevention. Whether it was Michelle Obama’s MyPlate, or events like Osteoporosis and Diabetes days that made nutrition a big part of healthy living, 2011 ensured that we trimmed the fat from our plates and our waistlines.
