Diabetes: Combating Childhood Diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes)

Did you know that diabetes alone kills 12,000 children in India every year. Juvenile diabetes also known as insulin-dependent diabetes is a disorder, commonly diagnosed in children that disturbs the body's immune system. Juvenile diabetes occurs when the beta cells, which make insulin are destroyed. Hence, the need for external insulin sources arises.
