Senior Health: Nutritional Requirements for Adults

How many calories do seniors need? First of all, you will have to understand that as an adult your nutritional requirements are quite different from your younger counterparts. A woman, who is not very physically active would require somewhere around 1600 calories in a day. Women who are moderately physical active will need about 1800 calories and women who are very physically active would need around 2000 calories in a day.

On the other hand, a man would need 2000 calories in a day. A somewhat physically active man would need 2200-2400 calories in day, and extremely active men would need 2400-2800 calories in a day.
