Often labelled as the new ‘green’ of healthy eating, the colour black not only helps us look slimmer, but is also full of much-needed nutrition. Black healthy foods contain anthocyanins, plant pigments that help prevent ailments like diabetes and heart disease. In fact, some studies claim that black foods are considerably high in antioxidants, because of increased pigment content. Today, Shachi Sohal, H.O.D. Dietetics Deptt at Dr. B.L.
