Myth #1 Doing 100s of crunches will get rid of that belly fat – In order melt belly fat you will need to do a lot of core work and functional bodyweight exercises to melt fat. Spot reduction does not work, and there are far more fun ways to reduce fat than only crunches. Resistance training is the way to go to boost metabolism and lose all kinds of fat, belly or otherwise. You have to first target overall weight loss in order to lose any belly fat. Mere crunches for abs do not work.
