Most of us want to lose weight and get fit and toned. But, it is important to realise that weight loss is not just about following fad diets. Instead, it is about cultivating healthy eating habits and exercising.  Dr. Kiran Rukadikar from Rukadikar's speciality Clinic for Weight loss shares with us her top 10 weight loss tips for women.


Weight Loss Tip #1: Never skip breakfast.

 

Weight Loss Tip #2: Don’t eat a low calorie breakfast, instead eat a breakfast, which is packed with vital nutrients.

 

Weight Loss Tip #3: Dinner should be your lightest meal.   

 

Weight Loss Tip #4: Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables.

 

Weight Loss Tip #5: Avoid eating out daily, instead restrict eating out to two times, a month. 

 

Weight Loss Tip #6: Drink a minimum of 10 -12 glasses of water, a day. Drink a tall glass of water as soon as you awaken. 

 

Weight Loss Tip #7: Have at least two fruits and a big bowl of salad, per day. 

 

Weight Loss Tip #8: If you are stressed, get in touch with close friends, as research shows that it reduces your emotional cravings for food. 

 

Weight Loss Tip #9: Understand that there are no shortcuts to weight loss except eating a balanced diet and indulging in one hour of physical activity.

 

Weight Loss Tip #10: Avoid fad diets because the sudden change in eating habits can cause your body to hold on to fat reserves.
