Monsoon Recipes: Fun with Coffee

With the monsoons making their presence felt across India, almost every one is craving hot, steaming coffees and spicy, crispy snacks. Here are two declicious, aromatic, steaming hot coffee and chocolate recipes that are perfect for the weather. After all, a monsoon morning calls for that extra shot of energy to keep you up and about all day long. Coffee has its health benefits too - good for mood elevation, reducing chances of cavities, moderate coffee consumption also helps deal with headaches

Rendezvous with Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of coffee
  • A pinch of cocoa powder
  • Brown sugar (to taste)
  • ½ a tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • Wee bit of cinnamon
  • A bit of whipped cream to garnish (optional)

 


Method: 
Mix milk, coffee, cocoa powder and sugar together and let it come to a boil. Keep on stirring it. Remove it from direct heat and add vanilla extract to it. Garnish it with whipped cream and your hot rendezvous with coffee is ready.

Hot Chocolate Passion

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder
  • ½ Homemade melted chocolate 
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Sugar (to taste)

 


Method: 
Mix all the above mentioned ingredients together and make sure there are no lumps.
