The New Year's countdown is well under way and everyone wants to look beautiful, leaner, fitter and slimmer for the year ending party. Unfortunately, most folks always realise this desire at the last hour when it's too late to make any real changes in how we look and feel. But there are some cheat methods with which you can 'look' fitter for the biggest night of the year. Here's how...
All you want is something quick and fast to make you fit and leaner for the big day. If you're wondering about how you can get fit this fast, wonder no more. What we are proposing is a cheat method - not an actualy fitness plan. These are ways through which you can cut out 'fake' weight and give the appearance of a physical transformation, albeit - a minor one. And we aren't talking about crash dieting either. Here's how you can look fitter in just 10 short days for New Year's Eve!
Limit your salt intake: "If you want to look fit for the new year’s eve, then reduce your salt intake," says Priya Kathpal, Nutritionist. Avoid all salted products like chips, namkeen and pickles. Check labels for preserved foods, because preserved foods mostly use extra salt. Priya says, "Salt is very bad for the body, because it causes water retention, and due to this it makes you look bloated."
Replace junk food: Firstly, throw away all the unhealthy food items from your refrigerator. Replace this unhealthy food with lean meats, fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains. "Avoid over-cooking of the food," says Priya. If you over cook your food, the nutrient contents of the food will be lost. Plan what you will be eating in this 10 day period and avoid extra unhealthy calories.
High carb meals can cause harm: Pick a diet filled with fruits and vegetables to lose stomach fat. Integrate this in your lose stomach fat diet plan, because fruits and vegetables have good carbs. Avoid donuts, desserts and cookies as far as possible. Again, keep in mind that though good carbs help reduce fat naturally, you shouldn't over indulge in these for quick results. In fact, if you go beyond the limit, it can increase your insulin level, and reduce your metabolic rate, because your body cannot process too many carbs at once. Choose a low carb diet approach to lose stomach fat effectively. Your diet should be a mixture of carbohydrates, proteins and bowlful of fresh vegetables and fruits.
Hydrate yourself: Plan the water game in your 10 day fitness plan. Skip soft drinks, aerated drinks and other sugary drinks from your diet. Instead, rely on water. Drink at least 2 liters of water every day. Drink adequate water before every meal, so that you partially fill your stomach and hence don’t over-eat. Besides, if you are exercising in this 10 day period, then increase your water intake even more, because lack of water can cause dehydration, which will further result in fatigue and muscle weakness.
Exercise: New to exercise? Then try running or push-ups and squats for quick benefits. All these exercises are very good and will help you burn calories, burn fat and suppress your appetite hormone.
