Home Remedies to Get Rid Of Age Spots
Age spots are flat discoloured brown spots that appear on the back of the hand, neck and face as people grow older. These age spots are not harmful but they can be a cosmetic concern for most people. So, to get rid of these age spots try these easy home remedies.
Lemon juice has natural bleaching properties, which help fade age spots. Apply some lemon juice directly on the spots and leave it on for an hour before rinsing it off with cold water. Repeat this routine twice a day for about three months to notice significant results. People with sensitive skin may want to dilute lemon juice with water or honey to avoid irritation.
Sandalwood is known to be an antiseptic as well as an anti-ageing agent that can help get rid of age spots. Make a sandalwood pack with rose water, lemon juice and glycerin and apply it on the brown spots. Allow it to dry naturally and then wash it off with cold water. Continue this routine once a day to banish all unwanted spots.
Aloe vera has healing properties that can help treat age spots. Use fresh aloe vera gel on those age spots and rub them gently. Leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing it with cold water. Try this remedy twice daily to notice positive changes.
Castor oil also has healing properties, which can be used to treat brown age spots. Apply some castor oil with a cotton ball to the affected area once in the morning and then at night and massage it for a few minutes. Continue this remedy daily to get rid of age spots.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can also be used to fade age spots. You can mix onion juice with apple cider vinegar and apply it on your spots. Leave it on for 30 minutes, before you rinse it off. Repeat this routine daily for two months to lighten age spots.
