Amla is loaded with vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene and vitamin B complex. It is also a rich source of carbohydrates and dietary fibre. Amla can reduce cholesterol, and keep heart disease at bay, is good for digestion and can give you a healthy, glowing complexion and thick hair.

Digestion: Amla is rich in fibre and helps promote healthy bowel movements and cleans out the gastrointestinal tract. It can also neutralise acidity and has a cooling effect on the body.

Skin:
Since amla is rich in vitamin C is helps make the skin smooth and gets rid of wrinkles. It also flushes out toxins from the body and prevents acne and pimples.

Cholesterol:
Amla is packed with vitamin C, amino acids and pectin, which helps reduce LDL cholesterol and increases HDL cholesterol. It also protects the arteries and blood vessels from fat and plaque accumulation.

Cancer: Amla is rich in antioxidants which helps prevent the growth of carcinogenic cells and free radicals. Regular consumption of amla can prevent stomach, skin and liver cancer.
