Embarrassing Health Problems: What Is Jock Itch?

The medical name is tinea cruris and it is common with people who sweat excessively; individuals who are obese and with men who have a poor immune system. What causes this embarrassing itch: In a nutshell, this fungal infection grows out of proportion when your groin area remains wet and moist. Another point to note is that jock itch can be transferred from contact, like sharing towels and sexual contact.
Precaution and treatment: For a jock itch, you need an antifungal ointment, preferably a cream as per your doctor’s advice.
