Cold Remedies: Quick Cold Relief
The common cold is just too common and spreads at a rapid pace. Poor immunity and change in lifestyle are risk factors associated with the common cold. Suman Agrawal, nutritionist and fitness consultant and founder of Selfcare in Mumbai gives us some quick methods for instant cold relief.
There are cold remedies for quick relief by Suman Agrawal:
- “Before sleeping massage the soles of your feet with mustard oil for five-seven minutes.
- Take 'Zandu's Sitopaladi Churna' half a teaspoon with two teaspoons of honey on an empty stomach first thing in the morning followed by a cup of hot milk/tea/coffee.
- Steam inhalation
- Gargle two times a days with salted luke warm water
- Most importantly up your daily dosage of vitamin C from one to two tablets.
A combination of the above will help you get rid of your cold sooner than you know. “
It is important to get sufficient sleep, eat every two hours, drink warm water or liquids and avoid stress to get relief from the common cold. Healthy eating also increases immunity and helps build stamina. Gargling with salt water and drinking warm water soothes the throat.
Avoid touching your self in case you have come in contact with those who are sick. Wash your hands often to prevent a common cold.
