Ways to Add More Fruits to Your Diet

Fruits are high in vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fibre and more. These natural foods not only make for a healthy meal but also taste good. A regular serving of fruits in your diet will boost your well-being and keep you disease free. Here are some easy ways to add more fruits to your diet.

Choose a whole fruit instead of fruit juice
Instead of chugging down on fruit juice in the morning; consider opting for a fresh fruit instead. A natural fresh fruit contains lesser sugar than fruit juice. It also contains antioxidants, which will leave you feeling refreshed in the morning.

Add fruits to your breakfast
Its best to consume fruits on an empty stomach as it benefits our digestive systems.  You can eat a whole fruit as breakfast or add them to your breakfasts. They make a healthy combination when paired with cereals, oats, pancakes or waffles. 

Fruit smoothies
Fruit smoothies are another way to add a good serving of fruits to your diet. You can make a healthy smoothie with just about any fruit that’s available in that particular season. These smoothies make for an amazing breakfast as well as a snack.

Add fruits to your salads
Add a few chunks of fruits to your veggie salad to make it more appealing. You can also substitute the meat in the salad with fruits for a healthier option. You can refrigerate this salad and grab it every time you get hungry. This way you won’t just eat healthy but can also add more fruits to your diet.

Eat fruits for snacking
Instead of snacking on biscuits, cakes and chips, choose fruits as a healthier snacking option. Fruits can make up for an excellent on-the-go food. Munch on a fruit to beat those mid-morning or mid-afternoon cravings.
