Pain

While most laser treatments are painless as the dermatologist would suggest, but it depends on the pain threshold of different individuals. You might feel a little discomfort after a laser treatment. Doctors usually prescribe a painkiller to ease the pain.

Itching, swelling and redness

Erythema or facial redness is very common during laser treatments. If ablative lasers are used the redness will be visible right after the procedure as the procedure vapourises one layer of your skin which take time to heal. In case if non-ablative lasers itching, swelling and redness is very common. This skin might take weeks to heal.
