Should You Participate in The Mud Rush?
With The Mud Rush resonating throughout the city, we take a closer look at this obstacle race event and find out what makes this event unique and why you should sign up for it. We bring you some insights from Paras Turakhia, the CEO of this mega event.
Paras explains the idea behind The Mud Rush, “The idea behind bringing TMR to India was to bring a concept event which fusions our favorite passions encompassing fitness, health, charity, and most importantly our lust to party. Another key aspect was to do something that wasn't another run of the mill music carnival. Another aspect which greatly made us pursue TMR was the fact that the fitness industry has become so big in the last 5 years, and these same fitness people, our target group are all seen in Mumbai and Pune Party circuits and nightlife. It made it very clear that there was one thing in common, people like to look good, look fit, and have the time of their life.”
If you're confused about who exactly The Mud Rush wants on board as participants, Paras helps clear your doubts: “The concept behind the RUN is to complete the run and have lots of fun while burning mad calories. From the warm ups at the start line, to the pre race energy drink, to the 15 obstacles filled with fire, ice and mud, to the beer at the finish line which enters into the party arena. We at TMR have something for everyone.”
Paras goes on to share the USP behind The Mud Rush: “TMR is unique because till date there isn’t an event in India like this that puts this fusion together. Think of the two biggest events in Mumbai - the Marathon and Sunburn, combine them and you have The Mud Rush. It is a perfect harmony of a fun workout, cherishing muddy moments, beers, BBQ and fantastic world renowned music.”
If you are from other cities and cannot make it to The Mud Rush, don’t lose hope. Paras ensures us that The Mud Rush has plans to set up in Bangalore and Delhi. Paras says, “The Mud Rush already is in talks to have a Monsoon Mud Rush at a location we can’t disclose till date. Think about running through 100s of waterfall and down the sides of mountains. Besides that, we also have plans to take TMR to Bangalore, Delhi, and our final dream destination the Manali Mud Rush.”
